ROOM DESCRIPTION
Single rooms are 8' wide by 15' long, with one window and a large closet. We supply hangers. Double rooms are like two single rooms without a wall separating them.
The bed is a regular twin size, for which we supply a mattress pad, blanket, bedspread and pillow. The other furnishings consist of a bedside table, bookcase, desk with chair, dresser with mirror, occasional chair and wastebasket. There is an overhead light and a table lamp for reading.
Residents should bring sheets, pillowcases, towels, and an alarm clock and toilet article caddy to take items to the hall bathroom. Because the floor is tile, you may want to bring a small rug for beside the bed.
You may hang pictures on the wall using poster putty or 3M Command ahesive hooks. You may bring a t. v., which will receive the local channels, but not cable stations. There is cable t. v. in the community television room.
Please do not bring any type of kitchen appliance, i.e., refrigerator, microwave, coffeemaker, etc. Likewise, you may not burn candles or incense. Hot and cold drinks are always available in the dining room, and we have two refrigerators and a microwave for residents' use.
We have a laundry room with coin-operated washers ($.75) and dryers ($.50), and supply irons and ironing boards on each floor. We supply a telephone in each room, and residents may set up their voice mailbox to receive messages when they arrive. We do not give out room assignments and/or telephone extensions before check-in, because they are subject to change.
Boxes may be shipped in advance of arrival provided they do not reach us more than a few days before resident's check-in. They should be addressed to the resident at our address. A room number is not necessary.
